 LITERACY COMPOSITION

Topic: Narrative Essay

    Narrative Essay is a type of composition that tells a story. They are usually about stories of past events and are to be written in past tense. 

The story can be fiction or nonfiction. It could be a place you visited, a wedding you attended, an accident you witnessed, a party, a journey, a festival or any event that has happened in the past. 

A narrative essay is divided into 3 parts namely: 

1. The introduction

2. The body 

3. The conclusion 

  At the introduction, you state the title of the story, then you state how it all started . (Day, time, place...) .

  In the body, you discuss every bit of the event. (The people and all the things that happened) . 

  At the end, you are to state how the story ended. 

EXERCISE

Think of an event that has happened in the past and write about it. 

Note that it could be real or imaginative.
